100% Polypropilene knitted fabric
In the traditional market, it is common to find jacquard fabrics made of 100 per cent polypropylene: these are products derived from a versatile, durable and fast-drying synthetic fibre.
But why not combine these properties in a completely different type of fabric?
At Stellini Group, we have developed a new double jersey knit made of 100% polypropylene fibre from a production process with less environmental impact using clean, re- newable energy. Our aim is always to develop new innova- tive but consciously designed products.
With this new product, it will now be possible to obtain upholstery fabrics that exploit the properties of polypro- pylene while retaining the elasticity and easy wearability of knitted fabrics. The result is a knit that is lighter than water, soft to the touch, completely recyclable and durable.
A “Zero Km” production
Derived from clean, renewable energy
From the original polymer to the production of the yarn, its production takes place 100% in our Italian factory using renewable energy. During the day, the energy used comes entirely from the sun through our photovoltaic system.
A reduction in CO2 emissions
The entire production process takes place at “zero km”, eliminating pollution due to transport from one plant to another and using electric vehicles over short distances.
In this way, there is absolutely zero CO2 emissions for transport from one plant to another.
Considerable reduction of water in production
The yarn production process takes place in a closed circuit without waste of water, which changes depending on the product.
Is purified using heat sources otherwise wasted and then entirely reused. Based on the type of product, the use of water can be nullified.
High Product Quality Interzum Award winner
MA_100% PP was recognised in the Interzum Award 2023 for “High Product Quality” in Textile & Machinery category. An international jury of experts selects every two years the best products in the international supply industry for furniture and interior design. The award emphasises
the significance of design, sustainability and innovation as the main value added factors.

Applications
The easy fit of knitted fabrics allows for them to be used to cover items of all shapes: a feature that is particularly appreciated for mattress coverings and indoor/outdoor furniture. Its breathability properties makes the product the perfect material also for sportswear, as it controls the humidity of body sweat while keeping the fabric dry and body temperature constant.

Main benefits
- Unique composition
- Sustainable production
- Conscious re-use (completely recyclable)
One fabric, multiple features
The knitted fabric takes advantage of the water-repellent and oil-repellent characteristic of polypropylene fibre which, not retaining dirt, makes the product naturally stain-free and washable at low temperature with reduced energy consumption compared to other fabrics. The fibre is completely inert and does not cause irritation, making the knitted fabric hypo-allergenic, even for the most sensitive skin of newborns. Polypropylene is also naturally bacteriostatic. In terms of its feel, the fabric is extremely soft to the touch and when in contact with the skin, thanks to the low friction coefficient of the thread.
